A new Italian restobar just opened its doors in Toronto

An Italian restaurant and bar just opened in Toronto where the food and drinks are created equal.
Truly great restaurants serve both excellent food and drink, but far too often there are many restaurants where the cocktail list feels like an afterthought. By the same token, there are tons of bars where the food isn’t great, and lots of them don’t serve food at all.
Enter Bar Filo, where they feel you shouldn’t have to worry about whether your meal and drinks will be equally tasty, striving to create a concept where both are crafted with care.
The menu is composed of antipasti, secondi (mains) and contorni (sides), all sticking to an Italian foundation. Antipasti include tuna crudo, burrata, calamari and zucchini fritti.
Mains include sea bass, pork chops, octopus and beef tenderloin, and on the side you can opt for truffle fries and brussel sprouts. Cocktails include a Brandy Crusta, Famoso and Malfy Sour. Bar Filo also boasts happy hour specials from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
The restaurant is actually a rebrand of the concept that used to be there before, The Lost Land, and is being operated by the same people.
“The Lost Land was a wonderful journey, but over time I realized I wanted to take things in a completely new direction. That’s how Bar Filo came to life: a fresh Italian bar concept with its own identity, menu, and atmosphere,” a representative of Bar Filo tells YourCityWithIN.com.
“Even though it is in the same location, Bar Filo is not connected to The Lost Land. It’s a brand-new project that I’m truly excited to share with the community.”
Bar Filo is now open at 146 Yonge St.
