Calling all taco lovers: a new taqueria stall just opened up in Toronto, and they’re serving up all the Mexican cuisine you can handle at a small counter.
Tacos de Princesa is named for their tasty tacos, but they’re also serving up a full lineup of other classic Mexican dishes.
When it comes to the tacos, by default they all come in orders of three with salsa verde and chipotle crema served on the side. Tacos de Princesa is serving chicken, barbacoa, carne asada, fish, shrimp, veggie chorizo and even surf and turf tacos with shrimp and steak.
All tacos come with cilantro and onion, and the fish and shrimp tacos also come with the addition of red cabbage and tomatoes.
Their signature style of tacos, however, are their birria tacos, which are made with pulled brisket and are also served with onions and cilantro.
Burritos can be ordered with the same lineup of proteins, and are available as a wrap or a bowl. The full range of toppings for the burritos consists of rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, corn, tomatoes, green onions, bell peppers, cilantro, onions, chipotle crema, sour cream and salsa verde.
They’re also offering quesadillas as well as nachos or fries with your choice of protein from the lineup at Tacos de Princesa.
For something a little more outside the box for a taco place, Tacos de Princesa is also offering a selection of salads.
There’s the Fiesta with arugula, mango, avocado, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cotija cheese and almonds, the Santa Fe with lettuce, black beans, corn, red onion, cherry tomatoes and tortilla strips, a jalapeno lime quinoa salad with kale, quinoa, corn, black beans, pickled onions, bell pepper, jalapeno, cilantro and pumpkin seeds, and then a charred pineapple bean salad with mixed greens, pineapple, black beans, corn, peppers, cilantro and cashews.
All salads start out at a reasonable $11 price point, but you can also add on any of their proteins for an extra charge.
So if you consider yourself a princess and love feasting your heart out on all kinds of Mexican food like tacos, quesadillas, burritos, bowls and salads, head over to this new taqueria stall in the heart of downtown Toronto and see if any of the items are worthy of your royal favour. These are tacos you just might eat with your pinkies up.
Tacos de Princesa is now open at 150 King St. W.
