A bar that’s previously only had locations in Alberta and British Columbia is now opening their first ever Toronto spot.

Greta isn’t just a bar, it’s also an arcade packed with all kinds of old school games. The high energy bars also serve food that’s inspired by street food from around the world, with options like arancini, wings, taquitos, noodles, burritos, chicken sandwiches and poutine.

There are also lots of fun drinks at Greta locations, with lots of options for wine, beer, and cocktails like coconut margaritas. Existing locations run weekly specials almost every day, such as all-day happy hour, taco and tequila Tuesday and an all-day locals and industry party. There’s also dancing and DJs for entertainment.

The new Toronto location is set to be just as epic as any of the previous Greta locations, with a capacity of 600, two levels, three bars and over 60 arcade games.

Greta has been teasing their new Toronto location since the end of last year, dropping lots of hints to promote the new spot. They had a hiring fair early in the year, and then around April an LED truck started driving around town with the words “FIND GRETA” on it and a number to text for the guest list for their opening party.

There have also been posters for Greta plastered all over, and a pair of giant inflatable legs wearing pink shoes appeared dangling over a rooftop. The bar is even making a series documenting the process of opening the new space.

Greta is opening at 590 King Street West on April 26. You can text (647) 424-2553 to be added to the guest list for the opening party.
