June is Pride Month in Toronto, and bakeries, bars and restaurants are rolling out special menu items to celebrate. These colourful treats not only add a splash of flavour and joy to your day, but also often support important causes by donating money raised through sales.
Here are five Pride treats you can get right now in Toronto.
Rainbow passionfruit croissant
This beautiful croissant is available from Gouter every weekend all month long. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to GTA organization Friends of Ruby, which provides mental health services, social services, food and housing to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.

LGBTea
If you prefer to drink your pride rather than eat it, dive into this specialty cocktail available at the Crossbar in Queen’s Cross Food Hall at the Eaton Centre until the end of June. The beverage combines verbena tea, gin, cactus pear juice, lemon, and soda, and 30 per cent of proceeds are being donated to youth-led HIV initiatives.
Pride menu
If you’re not satisfied with just one Pride-themed treat, head to Writer’s Room where they have a whole menu of fun options this month. The menu consists of two specialty cocktails, a mocktail and a dessert, and $1 from every item sold goes to The Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR).
The cocktails are a Fly The Flag Frose along with the Pride, No Prejudice made with gin, crème de framboise, mint, pineapple, lemon and egg white, and the mocktail is called the Novella and is made with dragonfruit, pineapple, raspberry and lime. The dessert is a cake with fruit, citrus, and of course, edible glitter.
