International Women’s Day and Month is happening in Toronto and around the world, and there are lots of fun ways to celebrate a global community of women whether you’re into eating, exercising or just pampering yourself and other gals.

Here are some wonderful ways to celebrate International Women’s Day and Month in Toronto.


Drink a beer brewed by women

Beertown is pouring Deliria, a beer brewed entirely by women, at all locations starting on March 7.


Shop at a Women’s Day market

One of the easiest ways to participate in International Women’s Day and Month is with the many markets that are going on in Toronto. There’s an International Women’s Day market at Yonge Eglinton Centre, from March 7 to 9 HER Market is popping up at Scarborough Town Centre, and on March 9 Bisha Hotel is hosting a Women’s Day Marketplace.


Get a special Women’s Day sushi set

Sushi Hub has put together a special Women’s Day sushi set with a baked lobster sushi roll, a Hong Kong roll with yellowfin and tiger shrimp, a Philadelphia roll with grilled eel and unagi sauce and a scallop roll with scallop, avocado and lime.

Attend a queer building takeover party
