Weekend Weather: Warmer temperatures with some sun forecast for Toronto

Toronto should see a break from the rain this weekend with a bit of sun in the forecast.

The last few days have drenched the city and it has been unseasonably cool.

Bring a jacket and an umbrella if you are heading out Friday night. Rain and a low of 8 C is forecast for the city, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Temperatures increase slightly on Saturday with a high of 16 C. Cloudy conditions are expected to stick around along with a 30 per cent chance of showers during the day. Wind gusts up to 40 km/h are expected.

In the evening, the low will drop down to 8 C.

The sun could appear Sunday with partly cloudy skies forecast and a high of 16 C again. A low of 8 C is expected in the evening.

These are warmer temperatures than the city experienced this week but still below normal. Normals for this time of year are around 21 C highs and 11 C lows, according to Environment Canada.

Warmer weather is expected on Monday with a high of 20 C forecast.
