Major restaurant brand Lazeez Shawarma is unveiling a special new menu item that’s not quite like anything else on their popular menu.

Starting August 1st, select locations will start serving Lazeez Dunks: Your choice of chicken, falafel, or donair, folded with savoury ingredients into a soft white flour tortilla which can then be dunked into their deliciously creamy new Dunk Sauce.

Each order of the Lazeez Dunks features two Dunks where guests can mix and match the flavours, making them perfect for experimenting with different flavours or for sharing with a friend.

Three mouth-watering options will be available at select locations starting August 1st:

Chicken Dunks: Made with Halal, Canadian-raised chicken marinated in authentic Mediterranean seasoning, topped with onions, banana peppers, parsley, mozzarella cheese and the brand new Dunk sauce. All folded into a soft white flour tortilla.

Falafel Dunks: Made with the Lazeez in-house Falafel, over a bed of shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles and the brand new Dunk sauce. All folded into a soft white flour tortilla.

Donair Dunks: Made with Halal Donair marinated in authentic Mediterranean seasoning, sliced tomato, cucumbers, parsley and topped off with the brand new Dunk sauce and crumbled feta cheese. All folded into a soft white flour tortilla.

This exclusive new menu item will only be available at 10 Lazeez restaurants. Look out for it at the following locations throughout Ontario:

  • 5170 Dixie Road, Mississauga
  • 6740 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle, Mississauga
  • 7205 Goreway Drive, Westwood Mall, Mississauga
  • 3068 Mayfield Road, Brampton
  • 200 County Court, Brampton

  • 210 Glendale Avenue, St. Catharines
  • 373 Church Street, Toronto

Not only do the new Lazeez Dunks have the great Mediterranean flavour that Lazeez is known for, they’re a very fitting way to celebrate the restaurant’s new partnership with Canada Basketball, becoming an official supporter of Canada’s Senior Men’s and Women’s National Teams.

This three-year partnership will see the teams through several major international sports events, including the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics.

“We believe this new menu item perfectly blends our passion for exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine with our dedication to supporting sports and fostering community connections,” said Sahib Rana, Co-Founder and Director of Franchise Operations at Lazeez Shawarma.

To kick off the launch of the Dunks, Lazeez Shawarma is also collaborating with the Super Fan Foundation to support the Super Fan Fantasy Basketball Camp in Malton from August 1st to 3rd. The camp hosts over 100 young athletes and enables them to sharpen their basketball skills and engage in meaningful discussions about teamwork, diversity and the importance of embracing their communities.

Founded in 2013, Lazeez grew from the passion that its co-founders Nada Nasri and Sahib Rana had for great tasting food made with fresh ingredients. Ten years later, the restaurant has over 50 locations in Ontario, with an extensive menu of mouth-watering chicken and beef shawarma in platters, wraps, on rice or on fries, as well as falafel, chicken souvlaki, salads and much more.

The restaurant also offers catering where they bring their popular menu options directly to your event.
