Two food truck festivals could take place in Burlington in 2024

By the end of last year, it looked as though Burlington would no longer have any food truck festivals. Now there appear to be two.

While the annual Burlington Food Truck Festival was kicked out of Spencer Smith Park because downtown business owners complained the event stole away customers, organizers of that event now plan to return to a new location.

As well, a new group intends to bring a separate event to another part of the city.

Organizers of the original Burlington Food Truck Festival now indicate they will operate a slightly smaller version out of Burloak Waterfront Park.

Their website indicates it will run July 19, 20 and 21.

In the meantime, another group, hoping to fill the void of the original festival, is planning its own event at LaSalle Park. This one, called Street Eats Market, has said it would like to operate on June 21, 22 and 23.

Both festivals have not yet been approved by City officials.
