While most local coffee lovers can be forgiven for thinking many (if not most) trendy cafes get their start in Toronto, it appears one popular independent shop that hails from Oakville is keeping west-end GTA drinkers in mind with its latest expansion.
Tribeca Coffee Co., which opened its doors in Oakville’s picturesque downtown in 2016, is set to open a brand new location in Mississauga’s Port Credit neighbourhood (285 Lakeshore Rd. E., to be exact) in the not-too-distant future.

The brand’s newest Mississauga location was formerly home to lingerie shop Chou Chou Cheri, which relocated to 131 Kerr St. in Oakville back in February.
The trendy cafe, one of a small but growing number of independent coffee shops in the GTA, was founded to offer customers a “New York cafe experience” in a suburban setting.
The cafe opened a second location in downtown Burlington in 2023.
The menu includes a range of espresso drinks, teas, wellness drinks, pastries and sandwiches. The cafe also sells beans, brewing equipment and other merchandise.
The Oakville location also has a Wallflower Doughnuts micro-bakery in the shop, offering fresh donuts.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
