A cherished Toronto tradition set to kick off in a few weeks is hosting a massive celebration.
According to the Toronto Arts Foundation, the iconic Arts in the Parks season is set to launch in a few weeks.
The program, which, based on last year’s metrics, hosted 300 events in 27 parks citywide and featured nearly 900 artists, is a sweeping spectacle that builds neighbourhood connections through accessible arts experiences in public spaces all over Toronto.
“Toronto Arts Foundation has a clear vision for Toronto ― a vibrant city where all our neighbourhoods are connected to the transformative power of the arts,” said Kelly Langgard, Director & CEO of Toronto Arts Foundation, in an official statement.

To celebrate the launch, a free event will take place on launch day in Dufferin Grove Park in the city’s west end.
Set to feature performances by Clay and Paper Theatre, Dance Migration, and the Big Smoke Brass Band, the event will also host many interactive workshops and installations.
The organization, which surveyed numerous Torontonians in relation to the event, have noted a staggering increase in a citywide hunger for these programs, with a majority of respondents stating they learn more about their city and its cultures as a result.
“With loneliness and social isolation becoming endemic, these events are more important than ever,” added Langgard.
The 2026 Arts in the Parks launch event is scheduled to take place on June 5 at Dufferin Grove Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendance is free to all.
