Toronto bar makes top spot on global list

A celebrated Toronto cocktail bar has just made an esteemed list.
50 Best, a publication known for detailing some of the finest restaurants and hotels in the world, has just put out its list of the top 100 bars worldwide.
Putting aside the collective envy we all must feel for whoever got to travel and put together this list, it turns out that a Toronto favourite earned a major spot.
Bar Pompette, a College Street staple renowned for its cocktails, has gained a reputation, as it managed to secure a spot at 55 on this list of 100 global bars.

For those who haven’t had the chance to sip on a few dynamite creations in this Little Italy institution, Bar Pompette is known for its menu that borrows from Francophile bar culture, as both the drinks and vibes could be mistaken for those found off a Paris streetside.
This win is on the heels of another collection distributed by 50 Best a few months ago, with the lens focusing more on bars in North America, where Bar Pompette went on to place seventh out of the 50 contenders.
