Top Ontario tourist location to launch river rapid tours this week

One of Ontario’s most popular tourist destinations is launching a major attraction this week.
The famous Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours are set to launch this week on the Niagara River for a major milestone: celebrating 35 years on the water.
As opposed to some of the calmer nautical attractions in the area, the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours challenge only the most daring to board a high-speed boat as it rips through the Niagara River’s Class 5 rapids.
“Every winter, our goal is to make the fleet even better than the year before,” John Kinney, President of Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours, said in an official statement. “It’s a huge team effort, and we take a lot of pride in the work that happens long before the boats hit the water.”

To celebrate such a pivotal season, the tours are launching the newly christened ‘Wet Freedom Jet.’
While programming traditionally offers the full ‘get soaked experience’ where an open canopy allows one to taste the rapids truly, guests can also sign up for the more tranquil ‘stay dry’ option.
“We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating 35 seasons,” adds Kinney. “We can’t wait to get back out on the water.”
The official Niagara Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours season is set to kick off this week, on in Queenston and on May 2 in Lewiston.
