We’ve hit the height of summer as temperatures are rising above 30 C, and while it’ll stay mostly cloudy, the good news is there’s no rain in the forecast. That makes it the perfect weekend to head outdoors and take advantage of everything Mississauga has to offer.
From all ages dance parties and live orchestral music to hands-on kids cooking workshops, a fashion runway show, cultural tributes, outdoor markets and even fishing lessons—there’s something happening in nearly every corner of the city!

Play in the Park
Enjoy more outdoor fun this summer! Play in the Park is a free, supervised, drop-in outdoor program for children aged 6 to 12, offering games, crafts, sports, theme days, and special events across local parks.

Shallum Xavier
Shallum Asher Xavier, one of South Asia’s most celebrated guitarists and founding member of the iconic band Fuzön, brings his signature fusion of classical indian music with rock, jazz, and blues to Mississauga. Now based in Canada, Shallum continues to push creative boundaries through cross-cultural musical collaborations.

First Friday in The ‘Ville
On the first Friday of each month, Streetsville Village Square transforms into a lively market featuring over 25 local vendors, handcrafted goods, small-batch eats, and live music. Girly Pop Dance Party at The Rec Room

Learn to Fish 2025
The Learn to Fish program is a free, hands-on experience designed to teach new anglers the basics of fishing in Ontario. Each two-hour session includes one hour of instruction and one hour of supervised fishing. Registration is required.
