September is just days away, which means back-to-school season is right around the corner. But if you’re not ready to say goodbye to summer, Mississauga has plenty of festivals, concerts and family activities to keep the long weekend fun and lively.
Here’s what’s going on from Aug. 29 to Aug. 31:

Play in the Park
Enjoy outdoor fun this summer at Play in the Park, a free supervised drop-in program for children ages six to 12. Kids can take part in games, sports, crafts, theme days and special activities, all led by trained staff.

Jammer’s Waffle House
Jammer’s Waffle House is an award-winning indie rock quartet known for their high-energy performances. A staple in the Mississauga music scene, the band continues to tour across Ontario in 2025 while working toward releasing a new LP by the end of the year.

August 30
Mississauga Hong Kong Festival / World Kong Cup 2025
The Mississauga Hong Kong Festival brings together culture, sport, and community with three days of activities at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre Sportsplex. Highlights include the World Kong Cup soccer tournament, a fashion design jersey competition, a talent quest, and a photography contest. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks and games.

Saturday Family Fun at Bradley Museum

The Dusty Miller Band

Festival 2025
This festival brings together talented local and international nasheed artists to share the story of the birth (Mawlid) of Prophet Muhammad through traditional and modern sung poetry in Arabic, English, and Urdu. Between performances, renowned teachers will deliver reflections on the life and impact of Prophet Muhammad.

Malton’s Aviation History
