Cruisers Sports – Sledge Hockey

As part of Brampton’s Accessible Recreation Week, this free sledge hockey session offers a chance to experience the fast-paced, inclusive sport in collaboration with Cruisers Sports. All abilities are welcome to attend.

Fred Kline Park Invasive Species Pull

Help restore native habitat as part of the Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP). Volunteers will remove invasive shrubs, such as European buckthorn and honeysuckle, using tools provided on-site. No experience needed.

Portuguese Heritage Month Celebration

Celebrate Portuguese Heritage Month with a weekend of cultural performances, poetry, food, and community festivities. The event begins with a flag-raising ceremony at Ken Whillans Square, followed by Lusofonia at Gage Park, featuring live music, folkloric groups and a Portuguese gastronomy festival. Presented as part of Brampton’s Marquee Festival Program.

Brampton Grow Green Festival 2025

Celebrate World Environment Day at Brampton’s first-ever Grow Green Festival. This free, family-friendly event features over 30 exhibitors, games, crafts, giveaways, live bird-of-prey viewing, free food, henna and face painting. The event also marks the launch of the Etobicoke Creek Wetlands Enhancement Project.

June 1

Jeff’s Walk for Special Olympics Brampton

Held in memory of Detective Constable Jeffrey Northrup, this family-friendly fundraising walk supports Special Olympics Brampton. Participants can choose from 1K, 3K, or 5K loops starting and ending at Northrup Park. Proceeds honour Jeff and Margaret Northrup’s longstanding support of the organization.
