With the chilly season settling in, those looking to warm up will soon have a new Thai-style dining experience to try as a hot pot and BBQ restaurant prepares to open in Scarborough.
Osha Mookata is set to launch at 390 Silver Star Blvd., next to Evana Pâtisserie & Café, the popular spot known for its viral fruit-shaped cakes.
Recent signage across the storefront highlights the mookata concept as “the best of both worlds,” combining grilled meats with flavourful hot pot broths cooked right at the table.
Diners can expect thinly sliced meats, marinated proteins, fresh vegetables, and noodles that can be grilled on the raised dome or simmered in broth along the sides. Built-in grills sit in the middle of each table, allowing guests to sear, dip, and cook at their own pace.
Those eager to experience Thai hot pot and BBQ will have to wait a little longer. The full menu and official opening date have not been announced, and the restaurant’s website and social media pages are not available at this time.
