Tallest skyscraper outside of Toronto going up in another big Ontario city

The tallest skyscraper outside Toronto is currently being constructed in another GTA hotspot.
M3 is an 83-storey-tall building that’s part of an eight-tower mixed-use development, which is set to spring up at Burnhamthorpe Road West and Confederation Parkway in Mississauga over the next few years.
This staggering architectural accomplishment is incorporated in the multibillion-dollar living community known as M City.
In an emailed response sent to INsauga.com, a representative from RJC Engineers, who are running the undertaking, referred to it as “a milestone in suburban high-rise development and sets a new benchmark for vertical living beyond Toronto’s core.”
The structure, nearly 850 feet in height when finished, has been projected to be the tallest building in Canada outside of Toronto.
“M3 embodies that evolution. It serves as a real-time example of how structural engineering is enabling this shift, shaping not only skylines but the future of suburban city-building in the GTA,” added the representative.
The two 62-storey condo towers, known as the M1 and M2, are already completed and standing in the 15-acre development centre, which is anticipated to be completed over the next few years, with all construction projects reaching their conclusion.
Congrats to M City Condos by Rogers Real Estate Development Ltd. and Urban Capital on recently “topping off” construction on Mississauga’s tallest tower. Building in the sky is complicated – especially when it’s an 83-storey tower.

Next on the list of M City projects is M4, which will rise 67 storeys into the Mississauga skyline, while M5 is also set for construction at a later date.
This massive endeavour is not only a first of its kind for Mississauga, but it is also using the latest technology to get the job done, as development leads behind it have stated they are using the “most powerful pump in Canada” to deliver concrete high into the sky to get the latest skyscrapers in Mississauga’s downtown core.
By the time all towers are finished, Mississauga’s skyline will be hardly recognizable from what it is today.
