Two spooky immersive experiences have landed at Toronto’s Stackt Market.

Staged inside custom-built 40-foot shipping containers at the market, Darkfield brings two immersive audio experiences — Séance and Flight — to the market, according to a press release from organizers.

The experiences plunge the audience into complete darkness, using 360-degree binaural sound and timed sensory effects to transport them into unsettling, alternate realities.

Séance transforms a shipping container into a Victorian séance room. It explores the psychology of a group of people who have been bombarded with suggestible material and asks that they believe in what might be conjured up into the room with them.

Inspired by the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, Flight tracks parallel versions of the same journey. A meticulously crafted cabin environment, turbulence cues, and immersive-audio storytelling invite audiences to confront the choices (and chances) that define our paths.

Each experience runs approximately 16 to 22 minutes, and audiences have approximately 10 minutes of transition time between each experience.

The experiences are not suitable for those under the age of 15.

Flight and Séance are on now until Nov. 9.

Sessions are available daily and should be booked in advance. Tickets start at $22.
