While most people think of Pearson International Airport as more of a utilitarian place than anything else, they should remember that Canada’s largest airport has a slew of exceptional restos helmed by celebrity chefs (think Lynn Crawford and Susur Lee), popular boutiques and now, a special art exhibit.

Art aficionados might be very happy to hear that Fujifilm is hosting a Printlife Photo Exhibit at Toronto Pearson Airport to “show the importance of printing photos in our digital age.”

Photos at the exhibit have been submitted by amateur and established photographers across Canada.

According to the company, Fujifilm’s executives will be on hand to answer questions, talk about the Printlife movement and pose for photos.

The Consulate General of Japan, Consul General Ms. Takako Ito, will also be in attendance.

This past June, Fujifilm launched the “Printlife Movement.”

“This movement is designed to encourage individuals to print their photos. It is estimated that last year, people took an average of 1.2 trillion pictures worldwide,” Fujifilm says. “Yet few of these photos were actually printed.

The event is taking place at Pearson International Airport on Nov. 1 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. EST.
