Since Uber Eats launched as an experiment in Toronto in 2015, and the company has seen some wild and expensive orders.
In celebration of its tenth anniversary, Uber Eats released stats on orders across Canada in its annual Cravings Report.
The company started in 2015 as a small lunch-delivery experiment in Toronto and has since grown into a global platform operating in more than 11,000 cities worldwide, Uber Eats said in a press release.
Uber Eats now operates in more than 400 cities in Canada, reaching 85 per cent of the population. Uber Eats hit one billion deliveries earlier this month.
Among the stats in the Cravings Report are the most expensive orders in the last 10 years.
Toronto wins in this category with an over $6,000 order for burgers and fries.
Second was a $5,500 order for fried chicken in Edmonton, and third was a $3,000 noodle order in Ottawa. Vancouver was fourth with over $2,500 worth of sushi.
The report also explored how tastes have evolved across Canada with a look at the most popular orders in 2016 versus 2025.
