The Canadian National Exhibition is calling on all lovebirds to tie the knot on exhibition grounds this summer.
Marriage on the Midway, according to representatives with the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), is a new contest that encourages those who hold a special romantic connection to Toronto’s famous summer fair to submit their love stories for a chance to win an all-expense-paid wedding on Saturday, August 23, at the exhibition itself.
Details surrounding this matrimonial event include that, if selected, the couple will share their vows amidst the smell of cotton candy under the backdrop of the iconic SuperWheel located on the CNE grounds the evening of the event.
Representatives with the exhibition have also indicated that a wedding photographer and a wedding cake made in connection with the CNE’s Cake Decorating Competition will be provided to the lucky couple.
Winners can invite up to 20 guests and will have unlimited access to all rides available at the CNE and $500 in food vouchers.
Those looking to celebrate their union on fair grounds have until August 8, 2025, to share their stories about how they found love at the CNE.
Representatives with the CNE stressed in a statement, however, that this contest is strictly “a symbolic celebration of love,” so if you have a wedding venue already booked, it might be best to keep that deposit.
