Rodeo and harvest festival coming to major tourism spot in Ontario

Dust off your spurs, because a huge rodeo is coming to a major tourist spot in Ontario.

The Town of Wasaga Beach, which hosts the world’s longest freshwater beachfront, is not letting the party stop with the end of summer, as they will be hosting the Hootenanny Fall Festival alongside the Mayor’s Charity Rodeo next month.

The festival, scheduled to take place at the town’s Klondike Park, will include activities like axe throwing, an inflatable maze, hayrides, and archery.

Happening adjacent to this sprawling harvest festival will be the rodeo, which will feature staple contests throughout the event, such as bareback riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, bull riding, pole bending, and much more.

While the main festival is free for all, those looking to check out the rodeo will need to grab tickets ahead of time, with all proceeds going toward the Hospice Georgian Triangle facility.

Both the Hootenanny Fall Festival and the Mayor’s Charity Rodeo are scheduled to take place across Oct. and Oct.5.
