Popular pizza and sandwich shops throwing collaboration party in downtown Toronto

A massive pizza party is coming to Toronto to celebrate a legendary collaboration between two local favourites.
Earlier this week, Little Italy’s esteemed sandwich stop, Bear Steak Sandwiches, posted their ‘RETURN OF THE STEAK’ special, an event featuring a collaboration with Renaissance Pizza, a locale specializing in Detroit-style pies.
Both culinary maestros will join forces for one day only to hand out their new invention — a Detroit-style dish featuring crispy edges, medium rare picanha, confit garlic, mozzarella, caramelised onion, mushroom, piparra pepper, and horseradish aioli.
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, April 26, at Renaissance Pizza’s downtown location on Dundas Street.

The event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature five-dollar slices of the featured pizza, beers, a full DJ set, and a patio party.
For those who can’t make it to the festivities, no need to worry, as Renaissance is currently offering full orders of the Steak Pizza for pickup through pre-orders.
