An Italian-inspired institution is opening a brand new location in the heart of Toronto’s downtown.
Eataly, known for its flagship Yorkville location, which features a massive market space for Italian and Mediterranean groceries, as well as restaurant nooks and cooking classes, has just announced that its upcoming Eaton Centre location will open this month.
Marking the brand’s fourth location to break ground in the GTA, representatives have relayed their enthusiasm for the new space opening in the heart of the city’s centre for commerce.
“Eataly Eaton Centre is a continuation of our story in Canada, cementing our appreciation for the community we’ve built here since first opening Eataly Yorkville in 2019,” said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America, in a statement. “As an icon of the city and a premier destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, we are excited to bring a taste of Italy to CF Toronto Eaton Centre’s impressive roster of retailers, just in time for the holiday season.”
Fixtures in the upcoming location include the institutional restaurant La Pizza & La Pasta, which is slated to seat nearly 200 guests, the market, which will feature groceries from all across the Italian peninsula (and wines), and finally, the counter spaces, which will sling espresso, pastries, gelato and more.
The two-level, 25,000 sq. ft. space is scheduled to have its grand opening in Toronto’s Eaton Centre on Nov. 25.
