East-end diners who love a fluffy, New York-style bagel can now purchase the breakfast (and lunch) staple at What a Bagel’s newest outpost.
The growing brand, which operates four locations in and around Toronto’s downtown core and shops in the GTA, recently opened a new store in The Beaches (or The Beach, depending on how you like to refer to it).
The latest opening marks the 12th location for the bagel hotspot and the first for the area.
The chain has three generations of bagel-making experience behind it and serves around 10 varieties of bagels, as well as all kinds of breads, pastries, sandwiches and salads. What A Bagel first opened in 1997 and was founded by Joseph Farbman.
While there is some seating at the new location, it does not offer a sit-down restaurant experience like the one at the brand’s Spadina location.
Much like other shops, the Queen Street East store also offers catering services, so residents can contact the location if they need a party platter or a sizeable quantity of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other items.
The store is located at 1984 Queen St. E.
