The Cabbagetown Festival, a beloved tradition in Toronto, is just a few weeks away!

The two-day event will celebrate the community’s vibrant spirit, diverse culture and rich history.

Marking its 45th anniversary, the event will take over Parliament Street from Gerrard to Wellesley and extend along Carlton Street to Ontario.

Visitors can look forward to over 250 vendors, with live entertainment being a key attraction. The lineup will include many performances across various genres.

Whether you’re into the high-energy beats of EDM, the soulful sounds of blues or the rich cultural displays from Indigenous artists, there will be something for everyone.

Street performers, including stilt walkers and acrobats will also add to the atmosphere, creating an immersive experience at every turn.

At this year’s Cabbagetown Festival, some food vendors include Jerk Brothers, offering spicy Caribbean dishes; Liko’s Hawaiian Barbecue, serving island-inspired barbecue; and Heavenly Dreams Ice Cream Inc., with its rich, creamy cold treats. You can also indulge in decadent cheesecakes from Dippin’ Cheesecake, traditional churros from Churros and authentic Mexican flavours at Mad Mexican.

The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 8th. Admission is free, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy!
