OPENING: Canadian retailing giant moving into Oakville Place

A new Canadian retailer will opening up at Oakville Place this spring.

Mark’s, which is part of the Canadian Tire Group of Companies, will be opening on the ground floor of the east end of the mall, in the former location of Sears.

The new store will replace the current location on Kerr St. and it is much larger at 19,649 sq.-ft.

“Moving to this larger location allows us to bring more selection and product offering to the Oakville community,” said Andie Weese, a spokesperson for Mark’s.

“The store will offer a larger selection of men’s and women’s casual clothing, footwear and accessories and will feature children’s wear selection. We will also have an expanded and full workwear assortment.”

The new location will offer an updated shopping experience to local customers, with a mix of both national brands like Levi’s, Columbia, and Carhartt, alongside owned brands including Denver Hayes and WindRiver.

“We’re excited to serve the customers in Oakville and introduce them to our entire Mark’s assortment.”

The grand opening date has not yet been announced.
