Those hankering for a healthier quick-service option might have to visit another restaurant in Square One in Mississauga.

Cultures, a fresh food franchise known for its bowls, salads, sandwiches and smoothies, recently closed inside the food court in Mississauga’s best-known shopping centre.

A Square One representative said the resto closed a few weeks ago.

Cultures was part of the shopping centre’s Food Central launch in 2013.

In fact, the grand opening was held 10 years ago this month.

Food Central, an extension of Square One’s existing food court, also included Amaya, Big Smoke Burger (which also appears closed for now), Chipotle Mexican Grill, Shanghai 360, Su & Shi and Szechuan Express.

Food Central opened several years before The Food District, which contains a variety of vendors.

While fans of Cultures might be disappointed that its food court location has closed, they should note that the brand operates other locations throughout the GTA, with the nearest restos located in Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke and Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills.

According to Cultures’ website, the company operates over 25 locations across Canada and internationally.
