New high tea and cupcake cafe now open in Mapleview Mall in Burlington

Diners looking to enjoy cupcakes and a multi-tier tray piled high with sandwiches, scones and sweets might be happy to hear that a new cafe that offers daily high tea is now open in Burlington.
The Cupcake Cafe, which specializes in cupcakes, high tea and a range of ‘couture desserts,’ opened in Mapleview Centre late last month.
The brand previously launched a pop-up in the mall that ran from Dec. 1-31, 2023.
The new cafe, which boasts a Parisian look and feel, offers a daily high tea (reservations required on weekdays but not on weekends) that includes four savoury sandwiches, scones served with Devonshire cream and jam, pastries and, of course, tea.
There will also be seasonal specials and a special high tea for children under 10.
In an Instagram post, the cafe said diners can request gluten-free and allergen-free teas 72 hours in advance.
The tea is also halal.
As far as other offerings go, diners can also expect a variety of cupcakes, French macarons, petit choux (a delicate pastry), custom cakes, croissants and cookies.
According to the company’s website, cupcake flavours include black velvet, s’mores, spiced chai date latte, cookies n’ cream, lemon pie, red velvet, coconut cream and more.
The cafe also serves specialty coffees, including espresso, cappuccino (including a cupcake cappuccino), chai lattes, London fogs and seasonal drinks.
