A new healthy convenience store chain has secured a spot for its first Toronto location.
Montreal-based company KaleMart24 will open its first Toronto location at 601–603 Yonge St. at Gloucester Street, the company announced on its website.
The new, approximately 1,800-square-foot store will open in June 2026, according to a Retail Insider story.
The vacant store was previously a Hasty Market.
Much like a traditional convenience store, KaleMart24 shops are open 24 hours, seven days a week. But it breaks “the long-standing association with junk food and replacing it with healthier, more mindful choices tailored to a mobile, younger generation,” the website states.
Stores feature organic snacks, sandwiches, salads, healthy drinks and eco-friendly household essentials.
“Blending the warm, local feel of a neighbourhood market with the modern elegance of an upscale store, KaleMart24 offers a curated selection of premium lifestyle brands, fresh food, and better-for-you beverages,” the website states.
First opened in Montreal in March 2024, the company has been expanding into Ontario with a location in Ottawa’s ByWard Market, and another coming soon at 66 Weber St., Kitchener.
