A new, all-day breakfast spot just opened in Mississauga.
Craveables opened at 5130 Dixie Rd. in Dixie Square Shopping Mall, just north of Eglinton Avenue in December.
The new cafe is the dream of an immigrant couple who say they noticed a gap in the Mississauga dining scene, according to the website.
“They saw the need for a halal breakfast haven, a place where communities from all corners of Canada could come together and savour mouthwatering dishes with complete confidence,” the website reads.
The restaurant is not only halal but also entirely pork-free.
They collaborated with experienced chefs to create a menu for breakfast, brunch and dessert.
“Craveables was born from this commitment to excellence and inclusivity,” the website reads.
The menu includes a range of breakfast items including gourmet omelettes with veggie, meat and smoked salmon options. There are pancakes and waffles, and a variety of “artisanal” eggs benedicts.
The are also signature skillets with veggie, meat and turkey bacon options with potatoes and eggs.
The dessert menu features cakes, ice cream, crepes and sundaes.
Dinners can also enjoy espresso coffees, teas, smoothies and milkshakes.
