While everyone knows that the cherry blossoms are set to bloom in Toronto (and southern Ontario), flower (and selfie) lovers might also be happy to hear that a popular and picturesque farm is about to welcome millions of colourful tulips after a decidedly chilly spring.

This week, the TASC Tulip Pick Farm announced that its Niagara-on-the-Lake property will likely start blooming at the end of April.

“Due to the unseasonably cold spring, our tulips are taking a little longer to bloom this year. We appreciate your patience and are excited to welcome you when the flowers are ready to show off their colours,” the farm said on its website, adding that it plans to kick off its TASC Tulip Festival on April 30.

Initially, tulip lovers could purchase tickets for an anticipated April 26 opening, but operators said those ticketholders can reschedule their visits.

The 55-acre farm, located at 1173 Line 3 Road, boasts over three million tulips in 175 varieties and its tulip festival tends to last about two weeks–or as long as the flowers stay vibrant.

The farm, which recently moved, is the largest tulip farm in Ontario and is pet and family-friendly. Close to wine country and Niagara Falls, the farm offers ticketed access to visitors hoping to pick some flowers to take home or snap some quick pictures for the ‘Gram.

According to TASC’s website, the farm is wheelchair and stroller-friendly, on-site parking is available for free and visitors from Toronto and Mississauga can arrange transportation to and from the property

According to its website, TASC anticipates that the tulips will be in bloom from April 30 to approximately May 11.

Food vendors are on site, offering a variety of meals and snacks, including vegan and vegetarian options. The farm also hosts a number of events, including Sip, Savour & Sax nights, yoga practices, paint nights and more.

Ticket prices vary based on age and day, with weekday passes being less expensive.
