In this case, the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been calling the city home since early June, which is set to conclude its time in our city next week.

To say farewell to a global sports celebration that has generated 300,000 visitors from all over the world, administrators at Queen West, west Toronto’s renowned entertainment district, are launching ‘The Final Kick’ block party.

According to the event’s official page, the party aims to bring “ soccer, music, food, art, and global culture together for one unforgettable summer evening on Queen Street West.”

Set to take place on 15 Denison Ave (just across from the famous Graffiti Alley), the event will run from day to night and offer visitors a surplus of food from local vendors, vintage pop-ups for some shopping, displays from local artists, and a lot more to help say farewell to the beautiful game’ that has called Toronto home these past few weeks.

A separate beer garden will also be in full swing.

It will feature a curated selection of local musicians and DJs, hand-picked by the Drom Artist Collective — Drom Taberna’s (an iconic local venue) in-house collection of musicians.

To add a little bit of additional flair, organizers have also stated that a live mural will run throughout the entire celebration, showcasing Toronto’s love for soccer and the international community that has called the city home for the last month.

The Final Kick Block Party will run on July 2, from 4 to 11 p.m.
