Lego fans won’t want to miss the Canadian debut of a pink Cadillac coming to the AutoShow in Toronto this month.
Lego Group is bringing a life-size Lego 1950s Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Cool Down Car to the Canadian International AutoShow.
The show runs from Feb. 14 to 23, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Fresh from its debut at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, where it transported racers to the podium, the Lego Cadillac blends pop culture, automotive history and brick creativity, according to Lego Group.
The drivable car weighs more than 2,100 kilograms, stretches over five metres and seats five passengers. It features working headlights, taillights, vintage-style tires and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 25 km/h, according to a press release from the Canadian International AutoShow.
It’s also the first life-size Lego brick car with a functioning trunk and spare tire.
Built with 418,556 Lego elements, including a record-breaking 123,426 pink bricks, the Cadillac is inspired by Elvis Presley’s iconic pink car and captures the glamour of the 1950s.

The wing mirrors use up-scaled teacup elements held in place by a single-piece component. Gold accents from Lego Ninjago sets recreate the Cadillac emblems at the front and rear, while grey Lego bricks form the classic chrome-style hood badges.
The project took 4,000 hours to build, including development and construction by a team of 17 master Lego builders, designers and engineers.
In addition to the Cadillac, the Lego Group’s booth at the AutoShow will include a Lego play area where kids can build and race their own creations.
The Lego Group booth will be located on the 700 level of the South Building at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. W.
