Indulge your sweet tooth at annual Butter Tart Festival at Oakville Place

One of the sweetest events on the Oakville calendar is just around the corner.

The annul Butter Tart Festival promises to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth and is returning to Oakville Place on Feb. 3 and 4.

Last year’s inaugural event, hosted by Gotta Luv Butter Tarts, was such a great success that organizers decided to run it back this year.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Butter Tart Festival for another year of sweetness and celebration,” said JD Prucha, the organizer of the free event.

“This festival is a tribute to the beloved butter tart, a quintessential Canadian treat that brings people together. Whether you’re a traditionalist or an adventurous flavour-seeker, there’s something for everyone at this year’s festival.”

But it’s not just butter tarts, of course. Visitors can immerse themselves in a day filled with delectable treats, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

The highlight, of course, is the a butter tart tasting extravaganza. You will be able to sample an array of butter tarts from local bakeries and home bakers, showcasing a variety of flavours and creative twists on this classic Canadian treat.

From classic favourites like traditional butter, pecan, and raisin, to unique variations like chocolate hazelnut, salted caramel, and coconut, there’s a butter tart for every palate.

There will also be a market featuring local artisans and vendors offering a diverse range of products, from handmade crafts to unique, butter tart-inspired merchandise.

And what’s a festival without live music and entertainment? Everyone will be able to enjoy live music performances by local bands, creating the perfect backdrop for a day of indulgence.
