Iconic TV studio building listed for sale in Toronto

A modern downtown Toronto building once used as a TV studio is listed for sale.
The seven-storey building at Toronto’s Sankofa Square, 33 Dundas St. E. is on the market for $34.5 million, according to the listing from commercial brokerage Colliers.
“Built in 2004, the property offers a rare opportunity to acquire a modern retail and office building with rich history directly adjacent to Dundas subway station and the Eaton’s Centre,” the listing states.
“The property features abundant natural light, a rooftop deck, with westward views over the square and prime viewing for many of the city’s spectacular cultural events hosted in the vicinity.”
CityNews moved out of the downtown studios after 16 years in March this year.
Before CityNews moved in, the building was home to Olympic Spirit Toronto, an Olympic-themed attraction that operated between 2004 and 2006.
The seven-storey mixed-use office and retail building boasts 56,514 square feet of space.
The property is being offered with vacant possession.
