Outdoor lovers will have a new place shop in Toronto.

The GTA closure of French sporting goods retailer Decathlon this summer may have left a gap but there is now a new choice for outdoor gear and clothing.

U.S. retailer L.L. Bean just opened a 9,500-square-foot store in the Manulife Centre, at Bloor and Bay streets on Aug. 22.

This is the second L.L. Bean store in Toronto. The first location opened in CF Shops at Don Mills in October 2020.

The new Yorkville store carries men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing along with boots, hiking shoes, shoes and slippers. There are bags and accessories.

There is a selection of outdoor gear for hunting, camping and fly fishing, including tents, backpacks and sleeping bags.

Home goods such as flannel bedding, blankets, and lifestyle items are also available.

L.L.Bean entered the Canadian market in 2018 with the launch of its Canadian e-commerce site, which was followed by the opening of its first Canadian retail store in Oakville, Ontario in 2019, according to a 2022 press release from the company.
