A massive travelling beer festival is coming to Toronto.
The ‘I Heart Beer Festival’ is setting up shop in Toronto’s sprawling indoor section of its Exhibition Grounds this weekend.
The festival will make numerous stops across Ontario from now until the spring, and will provide a platform for accomplished brewers and new players in the beer scene.
While there are numerous vendors dotted throughout the event, the I Heart Beer Festival also functions as a major community gathering, featuring a beer hall with 120 long tables for people to sit and mingle at over their favourite ale, stout, lager or cider.
Naturally, you can’t attend a day-long beer fest on an empty stomach, so numerous food vendors will also be in attendance, ranging from Caribbean cuisine to hot dogs, all the way to sushi and more.

As for activities to look out for while you’re walking off a few pints, the festival has a full-scale arcade to check out, as well as a whole competitive beer pong arena, and camping/patio games to make you forget it’s late January.
On that note, while the city recovers from a massive snowstorm, the I Heart Beer festival is one step ahead, as it is offering a ‘BrewBus,’ a shuttle service that can take you to and from nearby TTC and GO stops so you can get back home safely.
Local Toronto brewmasters such as Two Loons Brewing, Great Lakes Brewery, and Henderson Brewing Company are all anticipated to be setting up shop at the event, as well as countless other Ontario brewers ready to show off what they’ve been up to all winter.
The I Heart Beer festival is set for this upcoming Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Exhibition Grounds.
Tickets are available online.
