A huge, free festival takes over a Toronto street this weekend.
Salsa on St. Clair transforms a stretch of St. Clair Avenue West (from Winona Drive to Christie Street) on July 5 and 6.
Known as “Canada’s biggest salsa party,” the event features Latin music, non-stop dancing in the streets and Latin food, according to organizers.
The 21st annual Salsa on St. Clair includes a festival parade and music and dance performances on two stages. There are also “dance hot spots” to catch live performances on the street.
There are salsa and bachata dance lessons throughout the day from the stages.
The festival runs from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
