Now that Canada Day is finally here, the secret’s out as to who will be performing at tonight’s celebrations held at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington.
On Saturday (July 1) The City of Burlington excitedly tweeted the acts they have lined up— starting in the late afternoon and wrapping up close to 10 p.m.
“The wait is over, and we can finally announce the acts performing on Canada Day today,” the Tweet read.
The musical guests are set to take the stage shortly after the opening ceremony at 4 p.m., by the Burlington Teen Tour Band and remarks from Mayor Meed Ward.
In order of appearance, Rob Preuss (of The Spoons & Honeymoon Suite) and friends, will get the party started and crowd going from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The band Silverstein will rock out an hour long with audience members from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
For the finale this Canadian band might leave you temporarily “paralyzed” with their hit songs during their 60 minute set. Finger Eleven will be performing from 9 p.m. until 10 p.m. —roughly right before the slotted fireworks show.
As of right now The City of Burlington has announced that the fireworks finale will proceed as planned, however, if the weather conditions are favourable. In which case, should a thunderstorm happen, the fireworks presentation will either be delayed or cancelled.
