The spectacular Muskoka cottage featured in the finale of the hockey romance series Heated Rivalry is now on Airbnb.
A Crave original series, Heated Rivalry tells the love story of hockey stars Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), based on a series of romance novels by Nova Scotia’s Rachel Reid. The show is a massive, record-breaking hit—one of the most-watched shows on Crave.
The Canadian cottage featured in the series finale, Barlochan Cottage in Muskoka Lakes, which was designed and built by Toronto-based architect Trevor McIvor, will soon be available for rent on Airbnb.
Barlochan Cottage “quickly became one of the season’s most talked about backdrops,” Airbnb said.

After the “Cottage” episode aired on Dec. 26, Airbnb searches increased by nearly 90 per cent in Muskoka compared to the same time period last year, Airbnb said. The company provided some cottage stay recommendations ahead of Valentine’s Day.
But now the real place is available.
The three-bedroom cottage “will officially open for stays on Airbnb, allowing fans to book and experience the space in real life,” Airbnb said.
Set on natural Canadian Shield, the lakefront cottage boasts huge, floor-to-ceiling windows and Douglas Fir Kindl, traditional Japanese charred wood, siding.
Nestled in a secluded setting, the retreat is “synonymous with charged exchanges, candid conversations, and unforgettable moments, is a dreamy, off-the-grid escape designed for slowing down and reconnecting,” Airbnb said.
“With sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, the space feels both intimate and unmistakably Canadian,” the company added.

People can book the listing for $248.10 CAD per night starting at noon on March 3.
The current price is a nod to the series—Shane Hollander wears jersey number 24 for the Montreal Metros, while Ilya Rozanov wears number 81 for the Boston Raiders.
To celebrate Barlochan Cottage’s opening its doors for the first time, Airbnb will make a donation to the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka – an organization committed to providing kids from economically disadvantaged homes in Muskoka access to opportunities and the support they need to be happy and healthy.
