A new icewine experience is popping up at Niagara Falls this month.

Niagara Parks has unveiled the Frozen Falls Icewine Bar, a pop-up experience overlooking the majestic Horseshoe Falls, inviting guests to sip, savour and celebrate Ontario’s world-renowned ice wine in one of Canada’s most iconic winter destinations.

Open two weekends in January, the Frozen Falls Icewine Bar in collaboration with the Niagara Icewine Festival, will transport guests to a cozy Canadian winter atmosphere.

The event features a custom-carved ice bar designed by Iceculture Inc., interactive ice sculptures and tasting experiences set against the frosted landscape of Niagara Falls.

Guests can enjoy one-ounce VQA Icewine pours paired with seasonal comfort food, including Icewine French onion soup or a warm Icewine apple crumble with Icewine caramel sauce, all for $23, plus HST.

Donald Ziraldo, a pioneer of Canadian Icewine, along with Klaus W. Reif and Marco Piccoli, will lead tasting sessions, offering insights into Niagara’s unique winter harvest along with a first look at his latest estate-grown Icewine.

The wine bar is open Jan. 17-18, and Jan. 24-25 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Table Rock Bistro + Wine Bar, 6650 Niagara River Parkway, Niagara Falls.

Tasting sessions during the Frozen Falls Icewine Bar are offered daily at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

There will also be mulled wine and savoury à la carte winter dishes available for purchase. Families are welcome to bring younger guests to the event to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate.

Guests will have a chance to win exclusive giveaways, including Niagara Parks attraction passes and Icewine Discovery Passes.
