While no one would call housing in Toronto affordable across the board (the average home price was $1,089,918 in September), there is a mix of real estate options, and while some places are easier for buyers with a budget, some homes still sell for millions.
Recently, several more luxurious properties changed hands, and one home — a sprawling 4,000-square-foot, two-level condo — sold for more than $10 million.
Here’s a look at five of the most expensive Toronto houses that sold last month, courtesy of real estate website and brokerage Zoocasa:
902-33 Jackes Ave

This luxurious penthouse, located in the city’s prestigious Rosedale-Moore Park area, sold for $10,500,000–the same price it was listed for in April. The two-level condo, spanning over 4,000 square feet, offers three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a 1,255-square-foot terrace, and unobstructed views of the city. The spacious home also features a private elevator, a wood-burning fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, a custom Neff kitchen, a 22-foot dining room, a custom-designed staircase, spacious bedrooms, a spa-like en-suite bathroom, a home office, and more.

88 Lawrence Cres.

This modern and elegant Lawrence Park home sold for $9,500,000 after being listed for $10,798,000. The newly completed, custom-designed home spans over 7,000 square feet. It features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a private elevator, heated marble floors, bespoke architectural millwork, and an exterior composed of brick, aluminum, and Indiana limestone. The home also features a chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry, a walk-out deck leading to an outdoor kitchen, a heated pool, a dressing room, and more.

297 Carlton St.

Appropriately called “opulent” in the listing, this Cabbagetown home with a Queen Anne Revival exterior sold for $7,050,000 after being listed for $6,850,000. The five-level house, which offers a mix of classic elegance and contemporary chic, boasts a restored foyer and staircase (an homage to the house’s history) and modern oak millwork, as well as Roman clay-plastered walls and ceilings. The house boasts an open-concept great room, a chef’s kitchen with Gaggenau appliances, an elevator, a luxurious master bedroom with a dressing room and a spa-like en-suite bathroom, a fourth-floor loft with an exercise room, a detached backyard pavilion, and more.

68 Rowanwood Ave.

This classic South Rosedale home sold for $7,000,000 after being listed for $7,499,000. The rejuvenated property, not far from Yonge Street, offers eight bedrooms and four bathrooms and has been “reimagined” by Baldwin & Franklin Architects with a substantial addition and renovation. The home spans over 5,000 square feet and boasts a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, a detached two-car garage, a secondary family room, a spacious master bedroom with a luxurious en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, an office with custom-built-ins, a rec room, a wine cellar, and more.

122 Roxborough St. W.

This Rosedale home, a rebuild by R. Wengle, was featured in Canadian House & Home magazine. The home, which boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms, sold for $6,800,000 after being listed for $6,250,000. The house also features stained white oak, modern millwork, oversized windows, a sleek chef’s kitchen with a La Cornue gas range and multiple wine and beverage fridges, a luxurious master bedroom with a private balcony and a spa-like en-suite bathroom, a climate-controlled wine cellar, a mud room, and more.
