A unique bar is closing in Mississauga but they aren’t disappearing from the city.

The Studio Paint Bar, a place for fun public and private paint parties, in Port Credit announced their closure on Instagram.

The bar, with a full menu of wine, beer and liquor along with some sweet desserts, opened in 2018.

But now, after surviving three pandemic lockdowns, they announced the closure of the current Port Credit space at the end of December.

“We announce with very mixed emotions the closing of our pretty little paint bar in Port Credit as we continue our journey to find our ideal space,” The Studio Paint Bar wrote on Instagram.

“We outgrew those four walls and were already looking for a new space but the search is still ongoing and our lease was up.”

But the paint parties will continue in the meantime.

Much like how they started back in 2016, The Studio Paint Bar will have a “Mobile Style” studio, bringing the studio to privates offices, and at collaborative “pop-ups across the city.”

There are events still on through the busy holiday season and The Studio Paint Bar encourages people to visit before they close.

They also say gift cards will be honoured at all events until we find a new space — they don’t expire.

The owners thanked their customers.

“Thank you for making our dreams come true here in our space,” they posted on Instagram. “We are so very grateful and are celebrating our achievements here over the past 5 years. We could not have done this without YOUR support and the support of our incredible community in Port Credit and Mississauga, our fabulous city.”
