A fun family event featuring a drive-in movie happens this weekend in Mississauga.
The event, “Movies and Fun in the Mississauga Sun”, is in the parking lot at Meadowvale Town Centre on Saturday (Aug. 19).
It will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with live music, bouncy castles, games, popcorn, cotton candy, a DJ, balloon artists, face painters and more from the Meadowvale Town Centre shops, according to organizers.
Then at 8:30 p.m. the 2022 film, DC League of Super Pets, will be shown “under the stars” on an outdoor screen. The animated superhero comedy film is based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets.
All events happen in the parking lot outside Shoppers Drug Mart at the Meadowvale Town Centre, 6677 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle.
Admission is non-perishable food donations for Eden Food for Change. Eden is a food bank serving west Mississauga with two locations. They started out of the United Church more than 30 years ago.
