The eight-episode show follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), a man wrongfully convicted of killing his young son. When new evidence suggests the child may still be alive, Burroughs escapes prison in a desperate search for the truth.

The cast also features Britt Lower (Severance) as Rachel Mills, a former journalist and David’s ex-sister-in-law; Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) as Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend and confidant; Logan Browning (Dear White People) as FBI agent Sarah Greer; Erin Richards (Gotham) as Cheryl Dreason, David’s ex-wife and a pediatric surgeon; Jonathan Tucker (Westworld) as police sergeant Adam Mackenzie, David’s best friend; and Chi McBride (Hawaii Five-0) as FBI agent Max Williams.

Directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist), the series is co-created by Coben and showrunner Robert Hull (Quantum Leap, Alcatraz), with John G. Lenic producing for Quartz Productions Inc. Desmond Paes serves as production manager.

According to Netflix’s Tudum, the series dives into long-buried family secrets and emotional betrayals, with each character entangled in David’s journey to uncover the truth.

I Will Find You marks the first project in Coben’s partnership with Netflix to be set in the U.S., after previous adaptations were filmed across Europe in countries like the UK, France and Spain, in four different languages.

“Netflix has been an amazing creative partner all over the globe— and now we get to come home and do it here in the United States,” Coben told Tudum. “We have a dream team of talent. I can’t wait to get the cameras rolling.”

The show joins a growing list of Coben thrillers on the streaming platform, including Fool Me Once, Stay Close, The Stranger, Safe, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Hold Tight and The Woods. More recently, Missing You and Caught premiered on Netflix, with an adaptation of Run Away currently in the works.

While filming for I Will Find You is scheduled to continue in Toronto until Aug. 29, fans will have to sit tight as Netflix has yet to announce a release date.
