Annual FrancoFEST returns at Hamilton’s popular park

Hamilton’s Gage Park has come alive as the annual FrancoFEST kicks off in the city today(June 16).

An initiative launched about 40 years ago by Centre francophone Hamilton, promises three full days (June 16-18) of arts, entertainment, and community engagement.

One of the highlights of the fest is its commitment to being inclusive and family-friendly.

Many French-speaking artists like LGS, Abel Maxwell, Alpha Rhythms Roots, Breezy, Hamilton Beat Harmonic, will be performing live this year.

In addition to live music, the three day event also offers a diverse range of activities and entertainment to cater to various age groups .

While children can enjoy the excitement of a bouncy castle and a pirate ship, adults get a chance to engage in arts and crafts workshops, participate in bingo games, explore art exhibitions, and also explore various food stalls.

Organizers feel that the FrancoFEST provides an immersive experience that goes beyond just the musical performances, creating an environment where attendees can fully embrace the richness of Francophone culture while enjoying a multitude of engaging activities and attractions.

Entry to this festival is free and open to all.
