A cutting edge tea room has launched at this Toronto landmark

A Toronto landmark is now home to a cutting-edge bubble tea room.

Heytea — known for its branding as ‘heytea’ —  launched over a decade ago in China and revolutionized the local bubble tea scene by focusing on high-end natural ingredients.

Now, with a massive global presence, heytea has made Toronto a launch pad for its push into the North American market, as it has launched Canada’s first heytea lab at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

Described as “the brand’s most avant-garde retail concept” by an official press release, the new Toronto location features eight incredibly refined tea options (built on a Rock Oolong tea base) as well as a massive modern tea lab facility where guests can build their own perfect beverage.

Designed make visitors part of the research and development process, the entire facility is decked out in massive displays of raw tea leaves, botanical ingredients, and extraction equipment.

To mark the occasion, heytea has also partnered with renowned Canadian chef Susur Lee to collaborate on signature drinks sold at the new storefront as well as boutique ice cream based on the flavours in the tea lab.

All designed to “deliver a fine-dining-inspired sensory experience.”

The new heytea lab is now officially open at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre at 220 Yonge Street.
