‘Tis the season to be jolly after a glass (or two) of wine–and especially when that vino comes at just $6.

With people preparing to spend less this year–a recent PwC Canada report found that the average Canadian consumer plans to spend 10 per cent less this holiday season compared to 2024–some diners might be happy to hear that multiple restaurants at The Well are offering steep discounts on drinks and apps for a limited time.

This week, The Well announced that restaurants such as The Dorset, Bridgette Bar, La Plume, Lulu Bar and National will be offering $4 beers, $5 bar rails, $6 glasses of wine (five ounces), $10 cocktails, and half-price bottles of wine, food specials, and DJ sets as part of The Well After Dark event.

“Welcome to The Well After Dark, where the evening continues with great drinks, shareable bites, and curated DJ sets that keep the evening going long after dinner ends,” The Well wrote on its website.

The relatively new mixed-use community, which boasts residential towers and a plethora of shops and restaurants, will host the nighttime special from Nov. 6 until Dec. 27, with the offerings available at participating restaurants from 9 p.m. until “late.”

Not to be left out, high-end steakhouse and sushi restaurant Aera (located on the 38th floor) will offer a $150 bottle of Belaire Rose and Luxe Sparkling Wine, along with live DJs every Friday and Saturday.

As for food, The Dorset will offer 30 per cent off bar bites, $20 fish and chips and a $20 burger, while Bridgette Bar will feature $7 garlic bread, $6 French fries, $10 margherita pizzas and more.

La Plume will offer 30 per cent off bar bites and Lulu Bar will feature $4 edamame, $7 taro tots, a $6 hot dog bao and $13 chicken wings. National diners can order a $6 shrimp taco, a $14 falafel bowl, a $14 burger or an $18 cheese pizza.

Diners who take advantage of After Dark menus can also win a $250 gift card

The discounts come at a time when consumers across Canada say they plan to spend less this holiday season, with the aforementioned PwC Canadian holiday outlook indicating that Ontario consumers plan to spend an average of $1,788 on gifts, travel and entertainment this Christmas–less than the $1,960 spent reported in 2024.

According to PwC, the most significant spending reductions are among younger generations, with Gen Z consumers planning to spend 35 per cent less this year and millennials expecting to reduce their spending by 11 per cent.
