Fall colours in Toronto are stunning as is, but there are a bunch of places in Ontario you can road trip to from here to discover even more. Grab a pumpkin spice latte and your blanket scarf, because a cozy, scenic journey awaits.
Here are five places in Ontario for the perfect fall getaway:
5) Collingwood
This prime tourist spot is very picturesque, and there are an abundance of ways you can enjoy fall in Collingwood. Indulge in a fall escape at Blue Mountain (Scandinave Spa is said to be epic during the fall – imagine a hot tub in crisp fall air, surrounded by reds, oranges, and yellows..) or if you’re feeling adventurous, you can enjoy a Georgian Bay biking trail.

4) Agawa Canyon Tour Train
This might not be one “place” specifically, but you can take this train around Algoma, 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie, and get inspired by the incredible Canadian Shield up north. On this “departure from the ordinary” you can escape for up to three days, and while peak fall colours are around the beginning of October, it’s still an incredible tour. On the tour, you can see exactly what inspired Group of Seven paintings, too.
